The Unisoft Mattress System is a single-patient, alternating pressure mattress and pump for the prevention and treatment of pressure sores.

The Unisoft Mattress System is a radical new approach to solving the growing pressure sore problem. Competing pressure-relieving mattresses are prohibitively expensive and must be decontaminated after every patient use. Through a revolutionary combination of innovative product design and leading edge manufacturing technologies, the Unisoft Mattress effectively treats and prevents pressure sores for as little as one-tenth the cost of reusable systems, and without the need for burdensome and costly decontamination

The Unisoft Mattress features laterally oriented cells that slowly and subtly inflate and deflate in an alternating pattern. A patient's weight is therefore borne by different areas of the body, and no area remains under constant pressure. Unisoft's revolutionary design allows this change in pressure to take place almost imperceptibly, maximizing patient comfort.

 Agency Approvals: The Unisoft Mattress has been certified for purchase by the NHS (National Health Service in the UK) and by Medicare for reimbursement (HCPCS Code E0277 – Powered Pressure Reducing Air Mattresses and SADMERC).
Patents & Applications.  Two US patents have been awarded and additional US and European applications are pending.
